System of Student Registration

The NBBS enrolment system for each school year, which begins in mid-July, is as follows:

Timeline

• January: Siblings of currently enrolled NBBS students are given first priority early registration.
• February: In early February, B Class parents from our affiliated kindergarten, Aura Sukma Insani Bilingual Kindergarten, have a dedicated meeting at the kindergarten and a subsequent early registration time.
• February: In February, NBBS hosts a Sunday OPEN HOUSE, where any parents and students may come to see the school, have a tour and pick up registration forms.
• There are 2 classes for grade 1, with class sizes at a maximum of 25 students per class. Registration will be on a first come first served basis with no formal entrance testing, though NBBS reserves the right to meet, consult, and test any applicant prior to acceptance. Early registration is advised, as classes are typically full!
• Registration is prior to the start of the school year in July. Late registration or registration of students in grades 2-6, is at the discretion of NBBS.

Procedure

• In order to best understand NBBS, Parents are asked come to NBBS, personally, to get a school explanation, tour, and to pick up registration forms. Registration forms are not given out to staff or relatives.
• Once forms are received by parents, they must be completely filled out, signed, and returned to NBBS. If required, the candidate must come to NBBS for an enrolment interview, base don appointment.
• NBBS reviews registration forms and parents are required to pay: Establishment fee, Annual Resource Fee, and July monthly fee.
• Until forms are completed fully and the aforementioned fees paid, students are not considered registered in NBBS.
• Once formally accepted into NBBS, students wait for an information letter, detailing new school year information, as well as information for parent orientation.
