Children’s Book Week
Children’s Book Week (CBW)is an event aimed at promoting the importance of reading and literacy to children and their families. It is conducted once a year and all students are involved in literacy activities. CBW features: Guest speakers and readers, Read Aloud Day, community service involving both inviting kindergarten students to NBBS and going to do a reading program at a local kindergarten, Reading Buddies (pairing older and younger students) and the much anticipated Great Door Decorating Contest, where each class decorates and presents their classroom door, based on a favourite genre, author or book!
