OUR STORY

North Bali Bilingual School (NBBS) is a private school that follows the national curriculum of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. NBBS was founded in 2012 and is registered with the Buleleng Regency Education Office as SD Dwi Bahasa North Bali Bilingual School. North Bali Bilingual School is fully accredited with the highest rating. NBBS opened its doors in 2012 with one class, 16 students and a dream. As we welcome 2023, NBBS is a thriving school made up of 2 classes each of grades 1-6, for a total of 265 students in 12 classes as well as a dedicated space for Special Needs Education.

The idea of building and developing the school was stimulated by the belief that the implementation of education and the development of the full potential of students and their needs in a comprehensive and balanced manner, could be better achieved! Developing NBBS was also stimulated by the community need for a quality school that could serve as model school in the area. Additionally, NBBS exists also due to the strong community support for developing a high-quality elementary school as a continuation of a bilingual kindergarten that was previously established. As a school that aims for excellence, NBBS is operated with an educational paradigm that respects differences, is centred on students’ needs, is process oriented and promotes learning that is directed toward outcome establishment, literacy promotion, and character education.
